Not a Consumer Reporting Agency. This website is not a consumer reporting agency as the Fair Credit Reporting Act defines that term. Nothing here, and nothing on a third-party tool linked from this site, may be used to make decisions about credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening, or for any other purpose the FCRA covers. Background checks for those purposes belong with an FCRA-compliant screening provider.
Privately Operated Reference Site
This site is privately operated. We are not a court, a sheriff's office, a police department, or any government agency, and no agency endorses or sponsors us. We do not issue warrants, serve them, or keep any official warrant system. What we do is point readers toward the offices that hold those records in Norfolk County: the Clerk-Magistrate at the issuing District Court division, the Clerk of Courts at Norfolk County Superior Court, and the city or town police department that handled the case.
Accuracy of Information
Courts and police departments change addresses, phone numbers, hours, fees, and procedures without much warning, and case records get updated all day. We try to keep these pages current, but we cannot promise that every detail here is right at any given moment. Call the office directly to confirm before you travel to a counter or send a payment.
Warrant Status Changes - Verify Before You Rely
A warrant is a living record. Warrants get issued, served, recalled, quashed, discharged, and sometimes sealed, and a status can change from one day to the next. A search that comes back clean is not proof that no warrant exists. A warrant may not have been entered yet, may sit with a different court, or may never appear on a public list at all. A listing you saw last week may not match what the record says today.
Treat every warrant result you find as a starting point rather than a final answer. Only the court that issued the warrant, or the police department named to serve it, can confirm the current status.
Before you act on a warrant's status, or on its absence, confirm it with the issuing court or with the department that holds the case.
Verify With the Official Source
Nothing on this site is an official record. When a decision depends on a warrant's status, its charge, its bail amount, or whether it has been cleared, get the answer from the office that keeps the file. In Norfolk County that usually means the Clerk-Magistrate at one of the five District Court divisions, the Clerk of Courts at Norfolk County Superior Court, or the police department named in the case. Massachusetts also records warrant entries in a statewide system used by police agencies and the Registry of Motor Vehicles, and that system is not open to public searching.
Not Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. We explain how warrants generally work in Norfolk County and point you to resources, but a website cannot take the place of a licensed attorney, especially for an open warrant, a planned appearance, a bail decision, or the way a warrant affects you. Talk with a Massachusetts lawyer about your own situation.
Third-Party Search Tools
Some pages here carry search boxes run by outside companies. We do not control what those tools return, how they price their services, or what they do with the information you submit. Their results may be incomplete, out of date, or matched to the wrong person, and the same FCRA limits described above apply to them.
Outbound Links
We link to court pages, sheriff and police pages, state agencies, and other resources. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of any site outside this one.
No Records on This Site
This site does not host any warrants, warrant lists, case files, or court records. We point readers to the offices that do. To confirm a real warrant, you have to reach the court that issued it or the police department named in the case.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you tell me whether there is a warrant for me?
No. We do not host or maintain any warrant system. The official answer comes from the issuing court or from the police department named in the case. You can start with a warrant lookup, or call the court directly.
Does a clear result mean I have no warrant?
No. Warrants get added, served, recalled, and sealed, and some never appear on a public list at all. Confirm your status with the issuing court or the department that holds the case.
Who can clear or recall a warrant?
Only the court that issued the warrant can recall it. Talk with an attorney and with the issuing court.
