Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
Anything you type into a search tool on this site travels to the outside provider that runs that search, not into a database we keep. The provider processes the query and sends back the results. We do not log your search terms on our end, and we do not store them.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you email us, we keep the message so that we can reply to it. It stays inside our team. We will not pass it to anyone outside our organization unless a legal obligation requires it.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers pick up technical details about a visit each time a page on this site loads.
- Which browser you are using, and its version
- Your device type and operating system
- The IP address assigned to your device
- The pages you opened and how long each one stayed on screen
- The site that referred you here, when there is one
- A timestamp for each page view
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies, which are small files placed on your device that help us see how visitors move around. Analytics services pull that traffic data together into reports. Your browser settings let you block cookies whenever you choose, and some parts of the site may behave differently if you do.
What We Do With This Data
- Keeping the site online, running, and loading quickly
- Sending your search request to the right partner service
- Working out which pages help readers and which ones need work
- Finding and fixing technical problems
- Showing ads that may line up with your interests
No Warrant Data on File
This site does not host, compile, maintain, or sell any database of warrants or warrant records. What we publish is general guidance about where Norfolk County warrant information lives and how to reach it: the state Trial Court's public case access, the Clerk-Magistrate's office at the issuing District Court division, the Clerk of Courts at Norfolk County Superior Court, and the local police department that created a report.
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and nothing we gather about visitors is assembled into a consumer report or into a file about a third party.
Third-Party Search Partners
The search boxes on this site are run by outside companies. Anything you enter into one of those tools goes to that company and is handled under its own privacy policy rather than this one. Those partners set their own retention, sharing, and deletion practices, and we do not control them. Read the partner's policy before you submit a search.
Links to Other Websites
This site links to court pages, sheriff and police pages, state agencies, and outside search tools. Following one of those links takes you off this site, and the other site's privacy policy governs your visit from that point. Read it before you share personal details.
Some advertising partners may also track activity across sites in order to target ads. That tracking runs on their systems, not on ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Some information may reach:
- Analytics services we use to measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that handle a query you run here
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
We follow standard security practices to safeguard the data we collect. No system connected to the internet is perfect, so we cannot promise that a breach will never happen.
Users Under 18
This site is written for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has sent us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Massachusetts gives the public a right to request records held by government offices under M.G.L. c. 66, § 10, and access to court records is governed separately by the Uniform Rules on Public Access to Court Records. Those laws apply to public offices, not to this site, and we cannot answer a records request on an agency's behalf.
For the data we do hold, you can ask us to:
- Show you what we have about you
- Correct information that is wrong
- Delete your data
- Stop certain kinds of processing
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy. When we do, the new version goes up on this page with a new effective date. Check back if you want to keep track of how we handle information.
Effective date: September 15, 2026
